This online event assumes that you have
Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 on your computer and that you have installed
the FS9.1 update.
At
one time or other most flight simmer’s have considered taking off into the
virtual skies on a round the world solo flight.
Though many have taken up this challenge, far fewer have actually
completed the voyage. Make no mistake;
flying “solo” around the world is not an easy undertaking. Not by a long shot! While we can’t actually search for Madeleine
through this flight simulation based project, the true "search" for Madeleine
will take place in your heart!
Would you consider circumnavigating the globe if you had the full support of Team SurClaro behind you every inch of the way? Would it make a difference if your decision to circumnavigate the globe were for a good cause?
Cause:
To show your support of the broken and anguished hearts of thousands of parents
worldwide whose children go missing every year!
The
SurClaro
Virtual Pilot’s Association
And
Team SurClaro
are
currently seeking volunteer pilots from the worldwide flight simulation
community to join us in our “Round The World Virtual Search For Madeleine
McCann”. The true purpose behind this
project is to raise public awareness to the plight of our dear, darling Miss
Madeleine McCann, who went missing from
For us, Madeleine McCann represents every
single missing child on a global scale!
There is no prize or award for being first to complete the flight!
The
prize, if there were one, will be your personal satisfaction of having taken up
the challenge of virtually flying solo around the world to raise awareness and
honor all missing children and their families who have been separated, and to
raise public awareness to the plight of thousands of other parents around the
world whose children have gone missing!
We feel this is a worthwhile concept and every flight simulation
enthusiast around the world is invited to help!
This project is designed as a leisurely
flight
event with no finish date under consideration at this time.
All volunteer pilots are asked to take
their time, enjoy the flight challenge and visit
OFTEN!

We have designated the FS2004 Raytheon Beech King Air 300 as our official search aircraft! A very special, one of a kind, limited edition paint scheme has been applied (thanks, GS!). We highly encourage all volunteer pilots to use only our official “limited edition aircraft” for this project! All participating pilots are encouraged to take as much time as necessary to become familiar with this aircraft before beginning taking up the first leg of this event.

There are currently Two (2) Flight Plan Options available to
every pilot:
We would like you to declare your starting and finish airport
information, dates, times, etc when you file for your Pilot Application. We encourage all pilots to make use of Real
World Weather conditions as much as possible.
We wish you good luck and all success.
We will be very interested in hearing about your progress and flight
adventures from time to time in the SurClaro Forums.
Our own Ardie/RD (Top Dog Moderator @ SurClaro.com) has created a series of flight adventures, to help find Madeleine McCann. These flights will take you around the world. There are 21 flights, with predetermined Flight legs. Each flight will have something unique. You may have crosswinds, turbulence, rain, snow, or a nice sunny flight. You will have to bear the fact that everything is unexpected! Only God knows what Ardie has in store for you. If you select this option, a new leg of each flight can be downloaded from the downloads section. New flights are released each and every Friday, for the course of 21 weeks. If you don't finish a flight before the next one is available, that is not a problem! Fly the flights as you have time for. All flights will be available as you need them. Good luck! We think you will need it.
Please post flight adventures, aircraft performance, weather conditions,
etc. you encountered on:
